FAQ

1. And how much does the fun cost?

The prices for the course units are stated on the corresponding page of the offer and vary depending on the type of contract. We offer units of 75 minutes (mostly for young people, schoolchildren, students/trainees or adults). The prices for the courses are stated on the corresponding course pages (click on Register) and are valid for the year 2025

2. What kind of music is played in class?

In the dance class, urban African music (Afrohouse, Afrobeat/Afrofusion, Amapiano, Afrotrap, Kuduro) is played, which you usually know from the radio, mixed with pop music.

3. Are there dance parties where I can practice additionally?

Yes. Every two months there is an Afro vibe party organized on Friday and/or Saturday by urbantonic events in Mainz. For those who live more in Frankfurt there is a monthly party series organized by Afrocrowd events.

4. I have danced in a dance school before. When can I start a dance class?

We currently offer various course units and you can take part in the dance courses every month. Depending on how your dance skills develop, you are welcome to express your interest in our intensive program to our trainer and register

5. Where can I get a voucher for a dance course?

You will automatically receive a voucher for your friends and acquaintances when you complete your membership. We will send you the voucher by email. We hope you enjoy giving it away.

6. What dances are there at Aybo?

There is a wide range of dances in Africa. Here you will find a brief overview of the most popular African street dances. Our African hip-hop dance! These dance styles have become more international over time, and today they are part of famous artists' performances such as Burna boy, Davido, Wizkid, Osake, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Jason Derulo, Chris Brown, Tayc and more

7. What clothes should I wear for the dance class?

Please come in comfortable casual clothing or sportswear that you feel comfortable in. Would you be interested in Aybo shirt or items? Click here and fill out the form

8. I would like to start a training as a dance teacher. Is there an opportunity at Aybo Dance Center?

Yes, of course! We train dance teachers in various Afro dance styles such as Afrohouse, Afrobeat/Afrofusion, Ndombolo. It's best to speak to us personally! Further information can also be found here.

9. Are you bookable for shows?
